Hi, I'm Aubrey Haine and unlike Brian, still have to work hard for a living. In my job, I see most parts of the UK, and occasionally Continental Europe.

 

I have always been interested in the railway scene both in model and full-size form. However, my interest in photography really took off when I was shown the possibilities available to home users if they have a computer and an image manipulation program.

 

My first foray into the digital world was with a Fuji compact camera and whilst this got me going, it wasn't long before I realised it lacked a lot of basic features a serious photographer needs.

 

After seeing the results that Brian was regularly getting, I decided I needed to get a proper DSLR camera and after much meditating, and advice form various people, I finally lashed out and bought a Nikon D70s - a decision I have never regreted.
